How does a transfer work?

Prepare the domainUnlock the domain with your current registrar and request the authorisation (EPP) code.
Place the orderEnter the domain and owner details and choose whether to keep your current DNS servers.
We check the conditionsWe check transfer conditions, authorisation, required documents and price.
Transfer and confirmationWe start the transfer with the registry and let you know when it is complete. If the DNS servers stay the same, your site and e-mail keep working during the transfer.

Check before transferring

The domain is not locked for transfer (no “transfer prohibited” status).
You have the authorisation (EPP) code from your current registrar.
The registration has not expired and 60 days have passed since registration or the last transfer.
The domain owner's e-mail address is correct, as the transfer confirmation may be sent there.

Do not send passwords or transfer authorisation codes through the public form. If a code is needed, we will agree on how to provide it.

Do my site and e-mail keep working during the transfer?

Registration transfer and DNS server changes are separate actions. Before a transfer, we agree on the settings needed to preserve website and email operation.

Where do I find the authorisation (EPP) code?

You get the code from the registrar that holds the domain now, usually in their customer panel or by asking their support. Do not send us the code through a public form.

How long does a transfer take?

It depends on the extension and how quickly the current registrar confirms the transfer. For international extensions it usually takes a few days.

Do I lose the remaining registration time?

For international extensions (.com, .net, .org and similar) a transfer usually extends the registration by one year and the remaining time is kept. We confirm the conditions for your extension before the transfer.

How much do renewal and transfer cost?

They depend on the extension and offer terms. Request price confirmation for your domain before ordering.

Do I have to buy hosting with the transfer?

No. You can transfer the domain without hosting and add hosting later or keep your current one.
